1. Who we are and what this policy covers
This policy explains how Lifetime Financial LLC (“Lifetime Financial,” “we,” “us”) handles your information when you use the Lifetime Financial mobile app (the “App”). The App is only for clients who have signed an agreement with us, and you can only sign in after we invite you.
The App lets you follow the status of your claim, read updates from our team, receive notifications, and send us documents. Our general website privacy policy covers our website and the rest of our services; where the two differ for the App, this policy applies.
Lifetime Financial is a private company. We are not a government agency and are not part of any state treasury or state agency.
2. Information we collect
The App collects only what it needs to show you your claim and let you work with our team. It does not use advertising, tracking or analytics tools, and it does not collect your location, contacts or browsing activity.
| Information | Where it comes from | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Name, email address, mobile number | Your client record with us | To create your App account, sign you in and contact you |
| Claim details: the state, the office handling it, its status and dates, a reference number | Our work on your claim | To show your claim’s progress |
| Messages and to-do items from our team | Our team, as your claim moves forward | To keep you updated |
| Documents you upload (for example a photo ID or proof of address) | You, when you choose to upload | To prepare and support your claim |
| A notification token for your device, and whether it is an iPhone or Android | Your device, if you allow notifications | To send you claim updates |
| Sign-in records (when you signed in, and the one-time codes we send) | Our sign-in system | To keep your account secure |
| Crash reports: what went wrong, the App version, and your device model and system version | Your device, if the App crashes | To find and fix problems in the App |
Camera and photos. The App asks for camera or photo access only when you choose to send a document, and only the files you pick are uploaded.
Face ID, Touch ID and fingerprint. If you use them to unlock the App, the check happens on your device. We never receive or store your fingerprint or face data.
Crash reports never include your name, email, claim details, documents or messages.
3. How we use information
We use App information only to provide our services to you:
- Show you your claim’s progress and the updates from our team.
- Send you notifications and emails about your claim, including sign-in codes.
- Receive and review the documents you send for your claim.
- Keep your account secure, prevent misuse and fix problems in the App.
- Meet our legal and regulatory obligations, including those of the states where we are registered or licensed.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising. The App may occasionally ask you to rate it in the App Store or Google Play; that rating goes to Apple or Google, not to us.
4. How we share information
We share App information only with the people and companies that help us run the App and handle your claim, and only as much as each one needs.
| Who | What they receive | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase (database and file storage) | Your account, claim details, messages and documents | To store and serve the App’s data securely |
| Close (our client management system) | Your contact details, claim status and the documents you send | So our team can manage your claim |
| Google Workspace (email) | Your email address and the email’s content | To send sign-in codes and App emails |
| Expo, Apple and Google (notification services) | Your device’s notification token and the notification text | To deliver notifications to your phone |
| Sentry (crash reporting) | Crash reports, as described above | To find and fix problems in the App |
| State treasuries, agencies and holders of the funds | The documents and details your claim requires | To file and follow up on your claim, as described in your agreement |
| Notaries and attorneys who work with us | What they need for your claim | To complete notarization or legal steps |
We may also share information when the law requires it, to protect our rights or our clients, or as part of a sale or merger of our business. [Confirm: whether this matches the sharing terms in the client agreement]
5. Storage, security and retention
Your information is stored in the United States with our service providers.
- Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
- Each client can see only their own claims, messages and documents; this is enforced by the database itself, not just the App.
- Uploaded documents are kept in private storage that only you and our team can access.
- Signing in uses one-time codes sent to you, so there is no App password to steal. The App can also lock with Face ID or fingerprint.
We keep App information for as long as your claim is active and for the period required by law after it closes, to meet our legal, tax and state record-keeping obligations. [Confirm: how many years after a claim closes (for example 7)] After that we delete it or make it anonymous.
6. Your choices and rights
- Notifications: turn them on or off at any time in your phone’s settings. Updates still appear in the App’s Messages.
- Camera, photos, Face ID: you can allow or deny each in your phone’s settings; the App works without them.
- Correcting your details: call or email us and we will update your name, email or phone.
- Deleting your App account: use “Delete my account” in the App’s Help screen, or see how to delete your App account. We delete your App login and devices; records we must keep for your claim or by law are kept for the period above.
- Access and other rights: depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what information we hold about you, to ask for a copy, or to ask us to delete it. Contact us and we will respond within the time the law requires. [Confirm: which state privacy laws apply]
7. Children
The App is for adult clients. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
8. Changes to this policy
If we change how the App uses your information, we will update this page and its date, and tell you in the App when the change is significant.
